Donate to Midnight Run.
Our fall 2025 Midnight Run was a great event, and we had even more clients than usual taking advantage of our clothing and toiletry supplies. We need to restock our supplies for our next Midnight Run, later this spring. If you are doing a post-holiday purge and would like to get rid of things that no longer fit or are no longer wanted, please donate items for use in our next run. Below is a specific list of items we are looking to replenish. If you don’t have any items to donate, you can also contribute by purchasing new/sealed toiletries, or multi-packs of underwear or socks. We need travel size deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, shaving cream and toothbrushes, as well as new/unused men’s and women’s underwear and socks. You can bring all donations to the church and leave them in the donation baskets in the Narthex.

Donations to the St. James Fordham Food Pantry.
As we celebrate the new year, we should not forget our continued support of those in need.
Please drop off food offerings for the hungry served at St. James in the Bronx. We deliver after every first Sunday of the month. As always, you can bring your food donations to the church and leave them in the designated area of the Narthex.

Lenten Series: Spiritual Practice Workshop
Lent is a season to begin new practices. But where do we start? Do you ever feel lost, when trying to pray? Do you wish you had more familiarity with spiritual disciplines like lectio divina, praying with icons, contemplative prayer or spiritual journaling? Join us for this five-week course, where we will both learn about different Christian disciplines and have an opportunity to put these practices to use together! Led by the clergy of Christ Church.
Sundays 11:30am-12:30pm – Crispell Lounge
March 1, 8, 15, 22.
Lenten Quiet Day
A Lenten Quiet Day is a special day of rest and reflection, observed during the season of Lent. It provides an extended period for meditation, prayer, contemplation, and simply being attentive to God. During this approachable group retreat, participants will receive instruction in spiritual disciplines, intentionally refrain from speaking for select periods of time, and reflect in groups on experiences from the day. Practicing discrete times of silence allows our senses to be heightened, fostering a deeper connection with the presence and movement of the Holy Spirit. Please save the date and plan to participate in this important Lenten discipline. Led by Mother Kathryn.

Lenten Diocesan Book Study: The Danger and Sin of White Christian Nationalism
This Lent, our diocesan leadership is encouraging all parishes to consider the danger and sin of White Christian Nationalism, a false faith which our bishops note does not align with the Episcopal Church in its understanding of scripture, theology, or Christ’s call to love God and neighbor. The aim of this study, undertaken by parishes across our diocese, is education – building clarity, compassion and courage for faith-based civic engagement. While this study will utilize scripture and other theological and multi-media resources, our primary text in this exploration is Jim Wallis’ 2024 bestseller, The False White Gospel. As a part of this study, participants will have the opportunity to join in a diocesan-wide viewing of the documentary Bad Faith, as well as an Eastertide online interfaith discussion panel, moderated by Bishop Shin.
This study will be led by Mtr. Kathryn on Sunday mornings during Lent, following our 10:00 am service. The series will run from 11:30 am-12:30 pm in Crispell Lounge on 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, and 3/22. Come as you are able, or plan to join us for the entire series. All are welcome.

Join us for the third CCB Movie Night: January 16th
Join us at 6:30 PM on Friday, January 16 in Crispell Lounge for the 2020 Academy-Award-winning documentary, My Octopus Teacher, followed by a brief talk and moderated discussion with CCB parishioner and documentary filmmaker, Catharine Park. Refreshments will be served!
My Octopus Teacher chronicles filmmaker and diver Craig Foster's unique bond with a wild octopus in South Africa's kelp forest. The octopus teaches Craig lessons on the fragility of life and humanity's connection with nature - which impacts his relationship with his son, Tom. Visually stunning and profoundly moving, critics called the film an eye-opening, heartwarming tale of redemption.
